Jilin province gains RMB 36.6 bln investment
Contracts worth of RMB 36.6 billion (US$4.8 billion) were signed by domestic and foreign companies at the ongoing third Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo in Changchun, the capital of Jilin province, China's Xinhua News Agency reported.
Two big contracts among all are a construction materials and logistics park project and a small aircraft manufacturing project, jointly invested by Italian investors with their local partners, worth of RMB 1.96 billion and RMB 800 million respectively.
Chen Weigen, vice governor of Jilin province, said the other contracts were mainly about the energy and infrastructure industries.
The province was expected to attract about RMB 70 billion investment from both domestic and overseas companies during the expo, he added.
