China to hold first trade fair in Costarica
The 2007 China Trade Exhibition will be held in Costarica from Aug. 22 to 25, according to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
Nearly 30 Chinese enterprises in eight Chinese provincial-level regions, including Beijing, Chongqing and Zhejiang, have been confirmed to attend the first trade fair to beheld in Costarica, said CCPIT vice chairman Wang Jinzhen.
The exhibits will include home appliances, communication equipment, electronics, automobile, motorcycle, farm machinery, textile and clothing.
As a comprehensive international exhibition of Chinese-made products, it is aimed at promoting bilateral trade and economic cooperation, Wang said.
The CCPIT also plans to set up a representative office in Costarica before the end of this year, which will serve as the second representative office in Latin America and the 17th such office abroad.
