Commissioning for CNPC's SW China Refinery Slated for 2010

CNPC's proposed project for building a greenfield refinery with annual processing capacity of 10 million tons in Changshou county, Chongqing Municipality is expected to start construction in 2008 and come onstream in 2010, the local Chongqing Morning Post quoted Chongqing Vice Mayor Huang Qifan as saying.

As designed, the refinery can annually supply Chongqing with five to six million tons of oil products, Huang said.

CNPC's another 10-million-ton refinery in southwest region is now under construction in Guangxi, which is expected to annually provide seven million tons of oil products to local areas.
