Macao attracts over 250,000 package tourists in June

China's Macao Special Administrative Region recorded 228,156 package tourists in June, according to official statistics issued on Monday.

The figures released by the government-run Statistics and Census Service indicated that the number of the package tourists arrivals in the month represented a remarkable year-on-year increase of 24.3 percent.

The number of group visitors from the Chinese mainland stood at 148,319, a year-on-year drop of 9.0 percent, the figures showed.
