Natural Gas from Jidong Oilfield Is Expected to Enter Tangshan

The government of Tangshan City has held the special coordinated meeting on introducing natural gas from Jidong Oilfield to urban areas. The meeting decided that Jidong Oilfield will responsible for the pipeline project from Nanpu Oilfield to urban areas of Tangshan and Tangshan Gas Group will take charge of the construction of supporting pipe network of the city and the condition of receiving gas will be met in this November.

Of which, reform and expansion projects of urban gas transmission and distribution system include the building of natural gas storage station, reform and expansion projects of gas in central city and gas station project, with a total investment of more than RMB400 million. When natural gas is introduced to Tangshan, it will be replaced with and connected to existing gas supply system and the replacement of natural gas for 220 thousand residents and industrial and commercial welfare households will be finished in batches.
