Shanxi sold 253.27 million tons of coal in H1

Shanxi, one of the three major coal-producing provinces of China, produced 267.95 million tons of raw coal during the first half-year, and a total of 253.27 million tons of coal was sold outside the province, up 14.13 percent year-on-year.

The sales revenues reached 88.5 billion yuan for the first six months, up 26.57 percent, with 57.3 billion yuan earned by state-owned key coal producers, accounting for 64.7 percent of the total.

According to the provincial coal watchdog, the province's state-owned key coal producers reported comprehensive coal sales price of 343.82 yuan/ton, up 30.84 percent year-on-year, and production cost of 168.44 yuan/ton, an increase of 14.51 yuan/ton, arising from increased exploration costs.
