Sinopec Shanghai says unaware of reason for stock rise

Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical Co. Ltd.said it was not aware of any reason for the rise in its share price and trading volume.

There are also no negotiations or agreements relating to intended acquisitions or realizations which are discloseable under listing rules, the Chinese ethylene producer said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
