Xinan Chemical Group and Momentive will jointly set up a plant

Lately, Singopore Momentive Performance Materials and Zhejiang Xinan Chemical Industrial Group Co., Ltd announced that a permit has been got from government to jointly set up an organo-silica producing plant.

The total sum of investment is 97 million dollars, by a joint proportion of 51:49. The joint venture corporation plans to set up a silicone plant with a capacity of annual 50000 tons, that is, an annual 100 thousand tons of methyl chlorosilane device.

The new plant will locate in Jiande city, Zhejiang province, and put into production in the first half year of 2009.
