Harmful ingredients confirmed in US potato chips

Chinanews, Beijing, August 30-According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, China has found the carbonyl and acid values of a batch of frozen potato chips (21.6 tons) are higher than the required standard.

At present, the potato chips have been destroyed, and the GAQSIQ has informed the US side, demanding that it should find out how these disqualified goods were shipped to China.

Beside, the GAQSIQ requires all the quarantine and inspection departments to watch out for food that contains poisonous material, to prevent accidents from happening.
