Formosa Petrochemical Corp., Taiwan's second-biggest fuel supplier, has resumed production at a gasoline-making unit in Mailiao after repairing a mechanical fault. The unit converts heavier refined products such as residual fuel into higher-valued products including gasoline. Mailiao-based Formosa Petrochemical operates two such facilities. The refiner tapped into inventories due to the closure.
