China National Petroleum 2007 crude output up one mln tons

China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), the parent of PetroChina Co Ltd, said it expanded crude oil and gas output by 1 mln tons and 10 bln cubic meters respectively in 2007, according to a statement on its website.

The statement did not provide absolute figures for output in 2007. In 2006 output was 106.64 mln tons of crude oil and 44.2 bln cubic meters of natural gas.

Jiang Jiemin, CNPC's general manager, said 2008 growth targets have been set at levels similar to 2007's.
