Plan to sell stake

HEWLETT-PACKARD Co's partner in China plans to sell its stake in their computer venture, unraveling a two-decades-old alliance in the country.

China National Electronics Import & Export Corp, the state company that owns 30 percent of China Hewlett-Packard Co, is offering to sell its stake for at least 967.2 million yuan (US$133 million), according to a statement posted on China Beijing Equity Exchange yesterday.

Bids will be accepted until February 2, it said.
