China Mobile users continue to rise in Feb

China Mobile Ltd<941>, the nation's largest mobile phone operator on Thursday said new users added in February hit 7.97 million, up from 7.04 million a month earlier.

The total newly added users of China Mobile amounted to 384.4 million, compared with 376.4 million users by end of January.

Nearly half of the newly added users last year were from China's rural regions, the company said.

China Mobile published its earnings report on Wednesday, saying its net profit jumped 32% to RMB87.1 billion, exceeding the estimate due to strong growth in users and value-added business.
