China's fixed assets investment surges 24.3% in Jan, Feb
China's fixed assets investment in the first two months increased by 24.3% year-on-year to reach RMB 812.1 billion (about US$114.4 billion), according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Friday.
As compared with the same period of last year, the total investment in the fixed assets surged 0.9%. Investment in the real estate surged 32.9% to RMB237.4 billion, while investment in the projects approved by the local and central government surged by 14.9% and 25.3% respectively, as compared with the same period of last year.
The highest growth rate of 77% is witnessed in the primary industry, followed by the secondary and the tertiary industry, with the growth of 26.1% and 22.6% respectively, according to the statistics of NBS.
