China's largest off-shore wind farm to be built in Guangdong
China's largest off-shore wind farm is to be constructed in the country's middle south of Guangdong Province, according to sources.
The new facility, co-funded by the Lufeng Municipal Government and Guangdong Baolihua New Energy Stock Co. Ltd, is expected to relieve the energy pressure and optimize the energy structure in the booming province, according to the local government officials.
Additionally, the province plans to build a 1.25 million kilowatt wind farm, an 8 million kw supercritical power plant and a dock construction project.
In February, China started the work on the country's second west-to-east natural gas transmission pipeline, which will mainly carry natural gas from the natural resources-rich west to the country's most developed regions, the southern Yangze and southern Pearl River Delta regions.
