FAW Group renews contract with SORL

China FAW Group Corporation has renewed contracts with Nasdaq-listed SORL Auto Parts Inc., one of the top manufacturers and distributors of commercial auto parts in China. SORL was also awarded the ''Outstanding Supplier'' designation.

Since 1991, SORL has been supplying its braking systems to FAW's heavy-duty vehicle sector. In 2007, two subsidiaries of FAW Group, FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. and FAW Qingdao Automobile Works, contributed 11.9% of SORL's total revenue.

FAW Group is China's biggest automotive manufacturing group for passenger cars and trucks, and has in recent years, increased its exports in order to develop a global presence.

SORL Auto Parts, Inc. ranks first in market share in the segment for commercial vehicles weighing more than three tons, such as trucks and buses. The company distributes products both within China and internationally under the SORL trademark.
