Honda to recall 425 sedans in China

Honda Motor (China) will recall 425 Acura cars exported to China due to defect in power steering hose, China's top quality supervisor said on Tuesday.

The regulator said it has received the recall proposal from Honda. The proposal will put in force from Mar. 26, which covers Acura 06 TL sedans manufactured between June 2005 and September 2006.

The defect in power steering hose is a significant part of design problem as it may cause fluid leaks under high temperature which may lead to safety problems.

In this case, the company will replace relevant parts for customers free of charge and install heat resistant jacket outside the hose.
