Credit Suisse appoints new head of Greater China finance team
Credit Suisse Group, a Switzerland-based global financial services company, has hired David Cheng, previously head of corporate finance for Asia at Bear Stearns Cos, to lead its Greater China corporate finance team, according to Credit Suisse's announcement.
Cheng joined Credit Suisse earlier this week. He will oversee the corporate finance team for Credit Suisse's Greater China business and report to Paul Raphael, head of investment banking for Asia-Pacific (ex-Japan).
The group also hired Quincy Hui as the managing director for Hong Kong coverage. Hui was the head of Hong Kong investment banking in Deutsche Bank AG (DB) previously, and joined the group earlier this month.
Hui will play a core role in developing relationships and originating and executing transactions for the bank's Hong Kong based clients.
Credit Suisse's investment-banking revenue in the first quarter this year ranks the second in Asia. The company serves its clients through its three divisions: private Banking, investment Banking and asset management.
