Shell said to join Rosneft in China oil project
Russian State-owned oil major Rosneft said on Tuesday Royal Dutch Shell will join its joint venture with China's oil giant PetroChina<601857><857>
Shell Global Solutions, the consultancy and research unit of Shell will conduct a feasibility study for the Chinese oil refinery building project, Rosneft spokesman said.
PetroChina and Rosneft reached an agreement to form a joint venture last October. The venture, which is expected to start production in 2011 with an annual capacity of 10 million tones, will also build 300 petrol stations in northern China along with the refinery.
However, Shell is not available for comment yet.
