3 electric power giants to develop wind power in Guangdong

Eight wind power generator sets of the new wind power project invested by Guangdong Yudean Group Co Ltd have been completed in Xuwen County of Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. All the generators are expected to start operation by the end of this year.

Besides Guangdong Yudean, Guangdong Yueneng (holding) Company and South China Branch of China Power Investment Corporation(CPI) also signed contracts with Xuwen for wind power development, according to sources.

So far, three major electric power companies in China have invested a total of RMB 8.6 billion in Xuwen, with a targeted capacity of one million kw, which will greatly bolster the development of local wind power and electricity industries.
