Guyana to import Chinese Jianghuai vehicles
Guyana National Hardware Ltd announced at a press conference in Georgetown, Guyana that it will start to import vehicles built by China's Jianghuai Automobile Co soon, a report from the official website of China's Ministry of Commerce said last Friday.
The single row or double row Jianghuai pickups are priced at pretax 1,900,000 Guyana Dollars ($9500) in Guyana market; SUVs and heavy duty trucks are priced at pretax 2,600,000 Guyana Dollars ($13,000).
This is the first time ever that Guyana has imported vehicles from Chinese automakers. Samuel Hinds, minister of Guyana highly praised the event. He said Chinese vehicles are much anticipated in Guyana market and he hopes more vehicles suited to the rural road conditions of the country can be imported in future.
