China May Raise Steel Export Taxes in Second Half, Group Says

China, the world's biggest steelmaker, may raise taxes on steel-product exports if shipments rebound in the second half, the China Iron and Steel Association said.

Steel demand may weaken in the second half, while prices are facing'big fluctuations' on increasing domestic supply, Luo Bingsheng, vice chairman of the association, told reporters in Beijing today.
