Ore deposit find

GEOLOGISTS from east China's Jiangxi Province discovered a 1-billion-ton iron ore deposit in west China's Tibet Autonomous Region, the Ministry of Commerce said yesterday. The average iron content of the high quality ore is about 50 percent to 60 percent, which is seldom seen in China. China imported almost half of the world's seaborne iron ore, about 383 million tons, last year, making it the largest iron ore consumer in the world.
