Nanjing Steel United Cuts Production by 10% on Demand, Costs

Nanjing Iron & Steel United Co., a Chinese steelmaker, has cut production by 10 percent from August because of weaker demand and higher raw-material costs.

Its competitors are also cutting output, Yang Siming, general manager of the Nanjing, Jiangsu-based company, told reporters at a steel conference today in Xiamen.
