China Investment Corp Alternative appointment

China Investment Corp has appointed Zhou Yuan, a former China head for UBS AG, to lead its alternative investments, Reuters said, citing an unidentified source.

Zhou will be responsible for direct investments, real-estate funds and non-real estate private equity funds, the report said. Zhou left UBS in 1998 to join Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd.
