China to build large coal base in Hami

China will build a large-scale coal base in Hami in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, accoding to a report released by CRI on Dec 18.

The annual production of the coal base is expected to reach 400 million tonnes in 2020, same with the whole annually production of Shanxi province currently.

The predicted reserves in Hami is 570.8 billion tonnes, among which 42 billion tonnes have been proved, mainly distributed at Tuha Coal Mine, Balikun Coal Mine and Zhuomaohu Coal Mine.

Up to now, more than 20 large scale enterprises have invested or signed cooperation agreement with the local administrative office. Most of those enterprises have already confirmed their projects and registered for their companies with the capital above 50 million yuan.
