Datang, Korea Electric Power set JV on wind energy

China Datang Corporation, parent of Datang International Power Generation Corp have formed a joint venture on 26th Nov, with Korea Electric Power Corporation in the aim to develop wind energy, according to the news released on the web of China's State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commissions.

The newly founded JV with the name of Datang Huoinhe New Energy Co., Ltd is located in Tongliao City, and will be engaged two wind farms with the total capacity of 250,000 kw, in Inner Mongolia region, northern China.

One of the wind farms with a capacity of 50,000 kw has already started operations in Huolin Gol City, while the other one is scheduled to start operation in 2009, the company said.
