Huawei 08 Terminal Business to Surge 74%

Huawei believed that the growth of the world cell phone market would be slowed down by the sluggish economy. But it is still optimistic about its own growth in the future,because emerging markets are the company's chief focus and the company has expanded its cooperation with operators.

Research and advisory firm Gartner inc.on November 26 predicted that the growth of the world cell phone market in 2009 would drop to less than 10%. The new situation of the world econormy will spur a reshuffle of the cell phone industry. Some new companies will replace the old ones as the winners of the battle.Under such circumstances, to enhance the sales through the terminal business is believed to become a relatively safe operation model,which will in turn boost the development of such business in Huawei and its domestic archrival ZTE Corporation.
