Macau casino revenue up 2.6% in Nov
Macau's casino revenues in November rose 2.6% year-on-year to hit 7.55 billion patacas, snapping a decline for the second consecutive month since September, the South China Morning Post reported Wednesday, citing unofficial data.
According to the report, the figure represented a 15% decline from a month earlier.
Macau booked casino revenues of 8.9 billion patacas last month and US$900 million in September, down 3.5% and 3.4% year-on-year respectively, fueled by declining revenue and betting volume from VIP gamers resulting from the Chinese government's visa restrictions.
Casino revenue took up 60% of Macau's GDP in the past year and the industry accounts for 80% of the government revenue.
