THE Shanghai Futures Exchange in China, the world's largest producer of gold, is considering introducing new precious metals contracts after the launch of a bullion future this year, said an official at the exchange. The exchange is studying new contracts for silver and platinum, Huo Ruirong, the exchange's vice general manager, said yesterday.
