Xoceco obtains US$20 mln DTV order from U.S.

Xiamen Overseas Chinese Electronic Co (Xoceco)<600870> has obtained digital television (DTV) orders worth US$20 million from its American clients, the official Xinhua News reported, citing Wang Yanyuan, chairman of the board with Xoceco, as saying.

According to Wang, the company saw growing sales of DTVs and the relevant products in the U.S. market during the Thanksgiving and Christmas period, thanks to an upcoming digital TV upgrade in the country.

Xoceco is now focusing on the TV production, said Wang, adding that the company expects its overall TV exports to rise more than 50% year on year in 2009.
