China Housing Prices in 70 Cities Fell 0.4 % in December

Housing prices in 70 Chinese cities dropped 0.4 percent in December from a year earlier and 0.5 percent from the previous month, the National Development and Reform Commission said on its Web site today.

The decline is the first since at least July 2006, based on earlier statements from the commission.
