China sees growing grain exports in Oct, Nov

China posted a substantial growth in grain exports in October and November last year, according to the statistics unveiled by the General Administration of Customs on Monday.

In October, China exported 228,000 tons of grain, including cereal and cereal powder, beans and tuber crops, representing an increment of 32.7% month on month.

In November, the grain exports increased 42,000 tons or 18.6% to hit 270,000 tons, of which soybean exports surged 78.6% to 45,000 tons.

The Republic of Korea, ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) members and Japan are the three largest export markets for China's grain, accounting for 38% of the total.
