Foreign trade falls

Foreign trade in Guangdong Province, a key production and export base, continued to fall last month, plunging 31 percent from a year earlier, the provincial customs authority said yesterday.

Exports of the province in south China totaled US$24.2 billion, down 23.6 percent, while imports plunged by 42.1 percent to US$12.4 billion.
