Sales increase

LANXESS AG, a German specialty chemicals maker, said China sales rose, adjusted for portfolio and currency effects, by 15 percent to about 500 million euros (US$671 million) last year, despite the difficult economic environment in the fourth quarter.

The growth was mainly driven by its rubber business.
