0.7 Million t/a Smoke-to- Vitriol Device of Jinchuan Group is Taking Shape

Recently, the completeness of the 104-meter steel exhaust chimney and the 12 sets of 3500-stere vitriol storage tanks means that the million t/a smoke-to- vitriol device of Jinchuan Group is taking shape. It is known that the total investment of the Project is 2.23 billion Yuan. Since it began to be constructed in Sep. 2006, the construction of the 0.7 million t/a vitriol project, a supporting large-scale environmental protection project, has been in the tight designing and construction.

The planed investment of the smoke-to- vitriol is 350 million Yuan, and it is planed to be finished in Jun. 2008. After the completeness, it can treat sulfur dioxide contained smoke 283 thousand standard stere in every hour, recover 450 thousand ton sulfur dioxide contained smoke annual and produce 700 thousand ton vitriol annually.
