China to Announce Interpretations of Property Law
China's Supreme People's Court will announce judicial interpretations of the Property Law, the Corporate Bankruptcy Law and regulations on the submission of criminal evidence, the official Xinhua news agency reported, citing a supreme court annual plan.
The official news agency did not give any timetable for the announcements but it noted that the property law is scheduled to take effect on October 1. The law was adopted by parliament on March 16 after 13 years of legislative review.
The supreme court has ordered courts across China to organize training sessions and submit experiences of handling property cases to the supreme court for reference, Xinhua said.
Opinions and suggestions from local courts, legal experts and members of the public will be taken into consideration, a supreme court official was quoted as saying.
The property law states that the property of the state, collectives and individuals is protected by law, and may not be infringed upon.
