CHT to purchase 350,000 customized handsets in 2008, says paper

Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is expected to purchase up to 350,000 customized handsets in 2008, up 75% from the amount in 2007, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.

Customized handsets from High Tech Computer (HTC) will total 250,000 units, or 70% the orders planned, said the paper. Other leading vendors, including Nokia, Samsung Electronics and Asustek Computer, will also team up with CHT for the supply of customized handsets, the paper added.
