Bright Food ties up with Herbal Science Singapore

Shanghai-based Bright Food (Group) Co. Ltd. has inked a strategic partnership with Herbal Science Singapore Pte Ltd to produce healthy food, reported by sources.

The development of healthy food industry in China is in its infant stage due to lack of leading power, standards and strong research and development. The move will help to turn the Chinese company to the largest healthy food maker in the country.

Ken Kong, manager of Herbal Science, unveiled their first move to launch an all natural cinnamon extract named Balance, which can help prevent diabetes. The product, which is being certified by the regulators, may be available in the mainland market as early as March this year. Future products will include extracts from ginger, turmeric and lettuce, added Ken.

Chinese consumers are becoming more and more aware of healthy dining, which is reflected in the continuous expanding revenue of China's health care products. The annual growth rate remained 15% in the recent years.

Established in 2006, Bright Food (Group) Co. Ltd. is the parent group of four listed companies: Shanghai First Provisions Company Ltd. <600616>, Shanghai Haibo<600708>, Shanghai Maling Aquarius Co. Ltd.<600073>, and Bright Diary & Food<600597>.
