Hong Kong Dec registered property transactions up 126.6 pct yr-on-yr in value

Property transactions recorded at Hong Kong's Land Registry in December were valued at 64.4 bln hkd, up 126.6 pct from a year earlier but down 20.8 pct from November, the government said.

The total number of transactions stood at 15,592, up 81.7 pct from a year earlier but down 13.9 pct from November.

Of the total transactions, 13,503 were for residential units, a decrease of 14.3 pct from November but an increase of 86.1 pct over a year earlier.

Residential transactions were valued at 52.5 bln hkd, down 25.1 pct in value from November but up 134.7 pct from a year earlier.
