China's automobile imports in November surge 43% year-on-year

China's vehicle imports continued to surge in November. A total of 32,200 vehicles were imported in November, up 42.52 percent year-on-year and 38.03 percent month-on-month, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Of 32,200 vehicles imported to China in November, 15,930 units were SUVs, which represents an increase of 41.09 percent month on month and 140 percent year-on-year.

In the same month, 13,030 sedans were imported, an increase of 36.28 percent month-on-month and 2.05 percent year-on-year; also in November, 1,982 passenger vans were imported, which represents an increase of 40.97 percent month-on-month and 14.46 percent year-on-year.

In total, the above-mentioned three categories account for 95.96 percent of all imported vehicles in November. Total value of all imported vehicles in November reached $1.2 billion, up 45.25 percent month-on-month and 59.5 percent year-on-year.
