Amino to launch Shanghai office

Amino Communications, a world leading provider of consumer premises equipment for broadband digital television applications, announced that it will launch its office in Shanghai to act as a focal point for Amino's operations group, which provides local support for its manufacturing partners, sources reported.

Amino is very optimistic about the development of IPTV in China, which has achieved a 34.5% average growth rate every quarter. "2008 is set to witness an even faster growth rate with events such as the Beijing Olympics increasing interest in high quality, high-speed multimedia," said Alan Masterman, VP Operations at Amino.

Amino has started its operations in China since 2003, and it has established partnership with Chengdu USEE to co-develop products incorporating IntAct software stack in order to provide applications such as AVS (advanced audio and video standard) codec technology, video telephony, VoIP, gaming, etc.

The office will be located at Suite 2702, City Gateway, Shanghai.
