China Mobile opens int'l headquarters in London

China Mobile<941>, the nation's biggest mobile telecom operator, has opened its international headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in London, setting the stage for a broader push into the global mobile services industry.

Following the set-up of the headquarters in London, the company plans to provide mobile services to emerging markets, especially the targeted Chinese mobile users overseas. In line, it has established a comprehensive mobile communications network, and continues to extend network coverage and improve network quality in the overseas market.

Meanwhile, the mobile giant expects to partner with other leading operators to gain approval for operating licenses and speed up the global expansion, market sources reported.
