Convergys acquires Chinese software firm for further expansion

Convergys Corp, a leading provider of relationship management solutions in the world, announced yesterday that it has acquired Shanghai Hong Xun Software Co. Ltd from BMI Asia.

The acquisition is expected to help the Cincinnati-based company expand the set of customer service management offerings as well as its stronger presence in the Asia-Pacific region, in which over 700 million wireless and wireline subscribers reside.

Shanghai Hong Xun Software is a software technology company that develops solutions for the telecom service providers. Currently, its products are marketed under the name of BMIAsia.

The acquisition is expected to complete in the early Q2.
