Perfect World launches new games in Japan, China

Nasdaq-listed Perfect World Co., Ltd., a leading online game developer and operator in China, has successfully launched 2 games , "Legend of Martial Arts" and "Zi Long's Spear" expansion pack in late February.

Perfect World launched "Zi Long's Spear" expansion pack on February 28, 2008 for "Chi Bi," the company's first MMORPG based on Chinese history, the famous Three Kingdoms period. Several new elements are included to increase game interactivity.

"Legend of Martial Arts," the company's light-hearted adventure game, was successfully launched in Japan on February 29, 2008 by C&C Media Co., Ltd., a famous online game operator in Japan. Perfect World had previously signed a licensing agreement for "Legend of Martial Arts" with C&C Media in end June, 2007, and both parties have devoted great efforts in localization.

While most of Perfect World's revenue is generated in China, its games have been licensed to leading game operators in more than ten countries and regions. Perfect World develops three-dimensional ("3D") online games based on the proprietary Angelica 3D game engine and game development platform.
