China Coal Energy's coal output totals 32.81 million tons

China Coal Energy Co. Ltd., the second biggest coal producer in China, announced on Wednesday that its coal output totaled 32.81 million tons from January to April in 2008.

Its coke output amounted to 1.32 million tons in the first four months ended Apr. 30, the firm said in a statement.

In the same period, the company sold a total of 29.38 million tons of coal, in which domestic sales hit 24.27 million tons, coupled with export sales of 5.11 million tons.

It did not provide comparative figures for the corresponding period last year.
