Hutchison, COSCO bid to operate Greek Port of Piraeus

Hutchison Whampoa and Cosco Pacific have submitted bids to operate Greece's main container terminal.

Merchant Marine Minister George Voulgarakis said the two firms are vying for management of container operations at the Port of Piraeus, near Athens.

The Greek government is also looking to privatise container operations at Thessaloniki in northern Greece.
