Taiwan's April LNG imports up 18%, Energy Bureau says
Taiwan, Asia's fourth-largest importer of liquefied natural gas, increased imports of the fuel by 18 percent in April from a year earlier. CPC Corp. bought 1.73 million kiloliters of the fuel, or 784,000 metric tons, costing US$502 million compared with 670,000 tons at US$446 million a year earlier, the government's Energy Bureau said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.
