Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services Co Certificate granted

BOEING Shanghai Aviation Services Co has received a certificate from China's aviation watchdog to launch its maintenance services.

The certification allows the company to conduct aircraft maintenance, spare parts sales and repair, related engineering and technical services.

"We are very pleased with the certification from the CAAC and we look forward to receiving a similar certification from the FAA," said Tim Premselaar, Boeing Shanghai CEO.

Construction of the company's four-bay hangar kicked off earlier this year and is expected to be put into use in 2009.
