Sinoma's new glass fiber product line to break ground in Q1 09

Taishan Fiberglass Inc, a subsidiary of China National Materials Co Ltd (Sinoma)<1893>, had started the construction of an alkali-free glass fibre pond kiln bracing wire production line in Shandong on Jun. 9, as reported.

The two new product lines, with an estimated annual output of 160,000 tons, will mainly produce reinforced fiber, electric cloth and spun yarn products. The first 80,000-ton product line will be put into production in the first quarter of 2009, followed by the second line to start production in the second quarter.

The project will use oxy-fuel firing technology which reduces nitrogen oxides and can therefore save energy and reduce emission, said Sinoma, adding that it will make great efforts to establish the most advanced glass fiber product line in the world.
